LAB035 – Record Store Day, 2010

Record Store Day happened this month, and it seemed the most successful turnout yet. More and more stores are participating, and more (and more) artists and labels as well. This year saw exclusive releases from the Black Keys, Coheed and Cambria, Manchester Orchestra, Elvis freakin’ Presley, Modest Mouse, MGMT, Gogol Bordello, Springsteen and more (and more). I braved the Hollywood Amoeba location, along with a few other stores, and came out with some good tunes (and times). Below is a mix of those. Well, not so much a mix, as all the songs on these releases are counted for and in order. Included is the:

Gogol Bordello – We Comin’ Rougher (Immigraniada) / Trans-Continental Hustle 7″
The Black Keys – Tighten Up / Howlin’ For You 12″
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists – The Oldest House / North Coast 7″
The Thermals / The Cribs – Split 7″
Manchester Orchestra – Live at Park Ave. CD

And here’s the haps at Amoeba:

The line to get it…

…the “line” to get RSD releases…

…and the line to get out.
